Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately\, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. \nOur experienced educators will assist you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of 82 wine samples. \nUpon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin\, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo. \nWhat you’ll learn \nUnit 1 \n\nThe key factors in the production of wine: location\, grape growing\, winemaking\, maturation and bottling\nHow these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal still\, sparkling and fortified wines of the world\nHow to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality\n\nUnit 2 \n\nHow to taste wines\, describe their characteristics and evaluate their quality\, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)\nTutored tastings of 82 wines.\n\nCourse delivery \nThis qualification has a minimum requirement of 84 hours of study time\, including 30 hours of classroom time. \nStudents should note that this is a demanding course and are advised to allow adequate self-study and revision time. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately\, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. \nOur experienced educators will assist you to develop your analytic tasting abilities through a carefully selected series of 82 wine samples. \nUpon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin\, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo. \nWhat you’ll learn \nUnit 1 \n\nThe key factors in the production of wine: location\, grape growing\, winemaking\, maturation and bottling\nHow these key factors influence the key characteristics of the principal still\, sparkling and fortified wines of the world\nHow to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality\n\nUnit 2 \n\nHow to taste wines\, describe their characteristics and evaluate their quality\, using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)\nTutored tastings of 82 wines.\n\nCourse delivery \nThis qualification has a minimum requirement of 84 hours of study time\, including 30 hours of classroom time. \nStudents should note that this is a demanding course and are advised to allow adequate self-study and revision time.
