The Oxford Wine School<\/h1>\n

The Oxford Wine School is the education arm of The Oxford Wine Company. Our Educators John Shuckburgh DipWSET and Tim Bradley DipWSET co-ordinate and teach a range of WSET Courses – accredited, professional qualifications from the industry’s leading provider of wine and spirit education.<\/p>\n

We teach and examine WSET Awards in Wine Levels 1 \u2013 3 (NVQ equivalent) at our dedicated teaching and tasting facility The Jericho Wine Rooms in central Oxford.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Oxford Wine School also offers WSET Online courses in Wines at Levels 1 and 2.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bespoke training courses for trade professionals are available, either in WSET format or short, practical courses specifically for those working in hospitality.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WSET Courses<\/h2>\n

The Oxford Wine School is an Approved Programme Provider for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust – the industry’s benchmark qualification body. The WSET provides globally-recognised qualifications in wines and spirits. Their courses provide excellent introductions for wine lovers, trade professionals and enthusiastic hobbyists alike. Attending a WSET-approved programme with the Oxford Wine Company will set you up with the knowledge to choose and appreciate wine with confidence!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

John Shuckburgh DipWSET is responsible for The Oxford Wine School’s programme of courses. He has over forty years’ professional experience in the wine trade and is an experienced consultant and educator. He conducts freelance tastings for professionals and novices alike. John specialises in providing informative and approachable wine education to fellow enthusiasts!<\/p>\n

Tim Bradley DipWSET has been working at The Oxford Wine Company for five years, and joined our education team in 2021. He holds the WSET Diploma and French and Spanish Wine Scholar Guild Awards. Tim teaches The Oxford Wine School\u2019s courses at all three levels, combining his love of wine with communication skills from a former career in TV production.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

WSET Vouchers<\/h1>\n

If you would like to gift a place on one of The Oxford Wine School’s WSET Courses to a friend or loved one, you may wish to purchase one of our vouchers. These are available for our WSET Award in Wines Level One, Two and Three classroom courses.<\/p>\n

The voucher is equal to the cost of the course, and the recipient is then able to use it to book a place on the date of their choice. Please note that all places are subject to availability, so early booking is advised.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The Jericho Wine Rooms<\/h3>\n

Classes with The Oxford Wine School are held in our purpose built tasting <\/span>and teaching facility, <\/span>The Jericho Wine Rooms<\/span>. This space <\/span>can <\/span>accommodate<\/span> up to 44 <\/span>guests for tutored tastings or 16<\/span> students<\/span> as a <\/span>seated class<\/span>. It is used for WSET Courses as well as many of our ticketed tasting events.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Jericho Wine Rooms is a large and airy space located above our shop at 7 Little Clarendon Street, Oxford, OX1 2HP.<\/p>\n

Please note that due to the character of the building, this room is only accessible by stairs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
