Along with Francesco, Ben and Gaetano, our guests were taken on a sensory journey through the heart of Tuscany, guided by one of the region\u2019s most respected winemakers.<\/p>\n<p>Andrea shared his deep-rooted passion for Sangiovese, offering insights into the nuances of terroir, vintage, and winemaking philosophy that shape each expression. We began the tasting with three easy-drinking, fruit-forward styles before bringing out what Andrea called &#8216;the big guns&#8217; &#8211; three powerful, intense and rich wines from Tuscany&#8217;s top regions.<\/p>\n<p>A highlight of the evening was exploring the distinct personalities of three iconic Tuscan appellations. <strong>Morellino di Scansano<\/strong>, from the coastal Maremma region, offered a fresh, fruit-forward style with soft tannins and vibrant acidity. <strong>Chianti Classico<\/strong>, grown in the heart of Tuscany, showed more structure and complexity, with notes of cherry, herbs, and spice, reflecting its higher elevation and traditional aging. Finally, <strong>Brunello di Montalcino<\/strong> stood out with its depth and longevity &#8211; rich, powerful, and elegant, made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso and aged for several years before release. Each wine showcased a different \u201cshade\u201d of Sangiovese, demonstrating how this delicious grape expresses itself across terroirs.<\/p>\n<p>A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us.
