This high-quality winery is owned by the Lebanese Daou brothers, who fled a war-torn Beirut for France, and then California where they made their fortune in the tech sphere before investing in their real passion: wine.
Today, DAOU is a true force on the Paso Robles wine scene. Their true passion is Cabernet Sauvignon, from which they craft wines which combine power, density and elegance. We’ll taste six wines at this event, including DAOU’s textured and layered Chardonnay; the complex Pessimist blend which combines Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Syrah and Lagrein; as well as the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. We’ll finish on a high with the estate’s top wine: Soul of a Lion. This represents the pinnacle of Cabernet Sauvignon in Paso Robles, retailing at £155.
