Our Tasting Events

We hold a variety of tasting events at The Oxford Wine Company. These range from informal and informative themed tastings run by our staff through to winemaker-led masterclasses and dinners. We can also run private tastings tailored to your requirements.

We are proud to be an Approved Programme Provider for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and run Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level courses in wine. Both classroom and online study options are available.

All of our events are held at central Oxford locations. Most take place at our purpose built events space, The Jericho Wine Rooms, located above our shop on Little Clarendon Street. Some smaller tastings happen in the atmospheric cellar beneath our Turl Street Shop, and we continue to hold popular quarterly tasting events at our Botley Road Shop.

You can find links to information relating to our tasting diary, private events and WSET Courses below. If you have a specific question, please contact us on tastings@oxfordwine.co.uk

Our Tasting Rooms

The Jericho Wine Rooms

Most of our tasting events are held in our brand new, purpose built tasting space, The Jericho Wine Rooms. Located above our shop on Little Clarendon Street, this tasting room comfortably accommodates 40 people. It is fully equipped with projector, speakers, adjustable wine fridges and Riedel Glassware.

The location is easily accessible by public transport, and there is plenty of on-street parking nearby. For those interested in continuing their evening afterwards there is a fantastic array of bars and restaurants in the area, including our sister company, The Oxford Wine Café.

The Turl Street Cellar

Our Turl Street Shop is home to a beautiful, atmospheric cellar which we have converted into a tasting room. The cellar accommodates groups of up to 10 people, and is used for smaller, more intimate tastings.

Turl Street is easily accessible by public transport, and parking is available nearby on Broad Street. There are plenty of cosy pubs nearby, plus the venue is only a stone’s throw away from our sister company, Sandy’s Piano & Wine Bar.
