The first of a new tasting series looking at rum styles from across the globe. No longer can we simply look at rum through the lense of light, golden and dark. Nor can we allude to styles as British, Spanish or French. Instead, it’s important to look at the cultures of individual rum-producing nations and dig into the reasons behind why the rums there are the way they are.
In this session three Caribbean rums take on three rums from across central America. We’ll discuss the history of rum production in each of these six countries and get a little bit geeky on the differences of production methods and how they affect the characteristics of the final rum.
This is another tasting you’re not going to want to miss!
