What We’re Drinking in July

At The Oxford Wine Company we spend our days surrounded by thousands of delicious wines, spirits and beers. But which of them do we decide to drink at home? Take a look below for our team’s top picks for this month.

Val Delle Rose ‘Litorale’ Vermentino, Maremma Toscana DOC 2024 – £15.25  £13.73 – Lovely fresh and clean wine with balanced acidity and a great alternative from the predictable grape varieties. Perfect for summer evenings or a dinner aperitif.

Corryton Burge Riesling, Eden Valley 2023 – £19.75 £17.78 – Just perfect Dry Riesling! All the lime and honey flavour and racy acidity of a Mosel, but with ripe, tropical fruit and a rounded texture from a warmer cimate vineyard. Chill and be chilled!

Ciabot Berton Barolo Rocchettevino 2019 – £53.50 £48.15 – A deceptively powerful and rewarding wine. Indulge in the nose of sour cherries, dried herbs and violets. The best Italian food deserves nothing less.

Tio Pepe Fino En Rama Saca 2026  – £21.50 £19.35 – A very sophisticated glass of wine. Yeasty, bruised apple aromas lead to a bone-dry, saline palate with notes of straw, green olive, lemon and fresh bread. The aperitif of kings – Spanish ones, anyway!
