An Exploration of Peat Whisky Tasting

March 19 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£25

There is now just one ticket left to this tasting.  If you’d like to attend please contact the Turl Street shop on 01865 604170.

It’s very easy to see the addition of peat the whisky making process as something fundamentally one dimensional, but there’s so much more to peated whisky than a first glance lets on.  From distillery tours claiming saltiness is the result of casks being aged by the sea, to whisky experts debating the differences between Highland and West Coast peat, there’s a lot to unpack and breakdown.

First and foremost however, there’s delicious whisky to sample and, in this tasting, we’ll explore seven distillery bottled releases to analyse and interpret these differences for ourselves.

Line up: Ledaig 10 Year Old, Isle of Raasay Dun Cana Sherry Quarter Cask Release, Torabhaig Cnoc Na Moine, Port Charlotte 10 Year Old, Lagg Corriecravie Edition, Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3, Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2020
