The Prüm name has been synonymous with quality wine production in the Mosel for centuries, and can trace its history in the region back to the twelfth century.
Saskia Prüm is the first woman to be responsible for what is now one of the most prestigious wine estates in Germany. She took over from her father in 2017 after twelve years working together, and continues to focus on high quality traditional viticulture and winemaking, with a focus on Riesling.
The Prüm family own vineyards in many iconic Mosel sites, from which they make traditional Riesling wines, expressing the unique terroir of each location. They are also a member of the VDP – an organisation which safeguards and promotes the highest quality in German wine production, and of which only the very top estates are members.
This promises to be a true masterclass, with Saskia taking us through six Riesling wines, explaining the viticultural and winemaking techniques that have led to each wine’s unique – and delicious – character.
