European winemaking has been around for millennia and, as such, the rules and traditions are pretty much set in stone. There’s not much experimentation with different grape varieties in, for instance, Burgundy.

Enter the USA, the world’s fourth-largest wine producer (and its number one consumer), where winemaking is still considered by many to be driven by a pioneering spirit that has led to innovation across the country, and growers are free to plant what they like, where they like. Meanwhile, Stephen Spurrier’s iconic Judgement of Paris in 1976 cemented the nation’s reputation for quality wine indefinitely.

Join us for an evening of exploration as we taste our way through six examples of American winemaking at its finest, from California and beyond. A tasting we’ve been looking forward to for a while, this one promises to be a rollercoaster of diversity with some fascinating stories along the way. We cannot wait to see you there!

Cancellation policy:

If you have purchased tickets to an event but can no longer attend, please let us know no later than 48 hours before the event for a full refund. If you inform us later than this we will only issue a refund if we are able to resell your tickets. In the unlikely event that a tasting is cancelled by OWC, a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders.

We regret that due to the character of the building, this tasting is not accessible to wheelchair users.
